Hymn Notes

This is the guide for creating our sermon-based hymns. It walks through AI composition, instrumental track creation, using metadata tags for podcast distribution, and posting the final audio, lyrics, and artwork to the blog.

Post a hymn as a separate post so it can be referenced later and delivered in podcast form. These are the steps to create a hymn based on a sermon, compose the audio using artificial intelligence, create an instrumental version without vocals, create an image using artificial intelligence, edit audio tags for podcast preparation, and post it on a blog.

Lyrics Prompt

  • I want to write a hymn to accompany a sermon. The Christian church is focused on love and compassion. The target audience is a conservative rural church in a small town that is focused on loving one another, on civic-minded people accepting people from all walks of life, and on open-mindedness toward various world religions, all of which are focused on moral commonality and deity. The age range is from children to seniors. Compose the lyrics and a description of the sound/genre/mood for a hymn based on an accompanying sermon. Include musical markers in square brackets, such as [chorus] and [verse]. Do not display emoji with the lyrics. The sermon is as follows: [sermon]
  • [Add varying touches/edits]
  • What can be improved on this sermon: [lyrics]
  • [Fix/repeat prior step]

Music Generator

Use a music generator that allows redistribution of generated songs (ie, Producer.ai). This usually requires a commercial license. Find a platform that allows the download of MP3 files, as well as the Stem files that can isolate vocals.

Use the [lyrics] and [sound description] created previously. Work with the music until you have something that you appreciate.

Download the MP3 file and Stems.

Instrumental Version

Some people like to sing along without vocals, so we need an instrumental version.

Use an audio editor such as Audacity to combine the stems and mute the vocal track. Export as an MP3 file with a variable bit rate around 145-185 kbps in Stereo. Do not focus on MP3 tags at this time.

Audio Metadata Tags

Find a program that allows you to edit the Meatadata tags of audio files (Tag Editor 2). Apply the following tags to both your [Title].mp3 and [Title] Instrumental.mp3 files:
